What Types Of Personal Data Does LuxCloud Collect?
LuxCloud needs certain personal data to be able to provide products and services and assure an accurate billing management. The data collected will generally include
- company name
- company size and sector
- individual contact names and job titles for delivery, installation, support and billing
- postal address
- telephone and fax numbers
- e-mail addresses
- and eventually credit card details
If you are a consumer customer, LuxCloud will also collect certain personal data, such as
- telephone number
- e-mail address
- credit card details
LuxCloud might request other information, based on, for example, the service(s) being ordered or promoted.
How does LuxCloud collect Personal Data?
LuxCloud collects personal data particularly from:
- any kind of registration forms
- orders placed by customers
- documents introduced by customers
LuxCloud obtains personal data from enquiries made by existing and potential customers (including information gathered at marketing events and via the Internet) as well as from vendors, contractors or applicants for employment. LuxCloud also gets data from third parties like resellers who pass on data about their end users.
LuxCloud may also use “cookies” and similar technology to obtain information about your visits (1) to our web site, (2) the web sites and control panels of our distributors and resellers and (3) your responses to e-mail from us – all three individually and in an aggregated form that does not identify you. These reporting tools tell us about parts of our web sites or e-mails in which you showed an interest or took some action, and help us improve the quality and usefulness of our sites:
- Type of domain name used to gain access to the Internet (.com, .org)
- The IP address attributed during the connection
- Date and time of access to the site
- Duration of site/page visit
- Browser used
- The operating system or platform installed on your personal computer or the access device used

How long will LuxCloud keep your information?
- As long as legally required (accounting data, contracts…)
- Until the end of our business relationship
Certain contact details may be preserved for canvassing even after the end of our business relationship. These data can however be also deleted on your personal request.
How Does LuxCloud use the personal data it holds?
1) Providing and Improving the LuxCloud Service
LuxCloud uses the personal data it collects to honor its contractual engagements. Such uses include more particularly enabling:
- the provisioning of software application
- the account and billing management
- a technical support
- the product development
- fraud prevention and detection
- regulatory or law enforcement requirements
2) Direct Marketing
LuxCloud may also use your personal information to contact you regarding its products and services. Please note, however, that LuxCloud will only use your personal data for marketing or other purposes unrelated to your specific service where this is in accordance with applicable data protection or privacy law, and any preferences which you expressed when you registered for a service will be honored. You may express your preferences to us when you register or subsequently change your preferences through contact with a Customer Service representative.
Does LuxCloud Transfer Personal Data outside of Luxembourg?
Providing a service to you may need a transfer of your personal information to the software provider of your choice or to a third party company employed by LuxCloud to supply certain service elements. Of course, such partners and vendors must use personal information only to ensure the delivery of the service requested by you. These companies may be located outside of Luxembourg. LuxCloud guaranties however, that no transfer of personal data to a company located outside of Luxembourg will happen without your prior written approval.
To Whom Does LuxCloud Disclose Personal Data?
LuxCloud will pass personal data within its internal departments in order to fulfill sales and support obligations as well as to finance departments to enable global invoicing.
LuxCloud does not disclose personal data to unaffiliated third parties except:
- when it’s requested for the provisioning of the service requested by you
- on demand of a legal authority
Such necessary disclosures would occur in accordance with applicable laws. In addition, LuxCloud may disclose personal data to auditors and/or to intelligence and risk management consultancies. Those companies, like any other subcontractor of LuxCloud, will be prohibited from using your personal data for any other purpose.
How Does LuxCloud Protect the Personal Data it Holds?
LuxCloud takes customer confidentiality and security very seriously. We have implemented the appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information, including internal security procedures that restrict access to and disclosure of personal data within LuxCloud.
We also use encryption, firewalls and other technology and security procedures to help protect the accuracy and security of your personal information and prevent unauthorized access or improper use. For example, you will note that in order to use most features of the LuxCloud online services, you will need to register, submit a high quality password or some other type of authenticating information.
Only authorized employees and suppliers have access to your personal information. Our security policies permit access to client information only to people who need access to fulfill their job. All employees are responsible for maintaining a high confidentiality and security of any personal data collected by LuxCloud. Our employees are informed about the importance of privacy and receive ongoing updates on privacy related policies.
LuxCloud’s technical platform and devices are exclusively hosted by tier-IV –datacenters, which are designed to host mission critical computer systems, with fully redundant subsystems and restricted access security zones. LuxClouds data networks are protected by industry standard firewall and password protection systems.
LuxCloud will also actively investigate and cooperate with law enforcement agencies regarding any allegations of abuse or violation of system or network security. LuxCloud will disclose personal data to help investigation against unlawful activity, or to comply with an order made by any court.
Our security policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced when necessary.
Data Protection Rights
You may access, update, and correct, rectify or delete your personally identifiable information, and may change your marketing preferences at any time, by accessing your account online, by contacting Support Service by phone or email. The contact details are mentioned on your invoice. Please note, however, that choosing to delete some types of personal information may prevent us from supplying certain services to you as a customer, vendor or partner, or responding to your queries as a job applicant or contractor. In order to better protect you and safeguard your information, we take steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections to your information.
